Conflict Resolution
“Jill is so effective because she genuinely cares about people and wants to help them reach clarity – and that comes across in her interviews and mediations. She is confident and knowledgeable, and very efficient! It gave us real peace of mind having Jill on board to help us navigate our conflict resolution.”
Nicholas Haley, Rose City Rowing Club
Conflict is a normal and natural part of our work and personal lives. Most of the time, we can resolve it appropriately and effectively. However, there are times that individuals’ efforts fail to resolve the conflict in an appropriate manner. When there is a communication failure, the interpersonal relationship suffers among the people who are in conflict, and usually the team relationships suffer as well.
At work, we are operating in three areas at the same time: interpersonal, business and legal. We must operate within the law while fulfilling mission objectives and cultivating professional and effective workplace relationships with others.
We also try to bring our best selves to the workplace while seeking meaning in our work, which takes up such a huge part of our lives. We get passionate about things and people and we have misunderstandings — every day. Conflict is inevitable; the only question is how we handle it.
Effective conflict resolution can help an organization build a collaborative work environment, help employees and managers understand all viewpoints, and engage everyone in support of the solution.
